Refund policy

We accept returns on unopened and unused items within 30 days of delivery. To be eligible, the item must meet the following conditions:
- In original condition and packaging
- Unused and sealed (for matcha and other perishable items)
- Accompanied by valid proof of purchase
Please contact us at contact@matchaas.com before returning any items. Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery and include a clear photo of the issue. We will resolve it as quickly as possible, either by replacement or refund.
Non-Returnable Items
We do not accept returns on the following:
- Opened matcha or other perishable goods
- Used accessories (e.g., whisks, bowls)
- Gift cards
- Sale or discounted items
Exchanges
If you'd like a different item, please return the original (if eligible) and place a new order separately. We do not offer direct exchanges.
EU 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery, for any reason. Items must be unopened, unused, and in their original condition. Please notify us by email in advance if you wish to exercise this right.
Refunds (including Vipps)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
- Vipps purchases: Refunds are returned to the same Vipps payment method used at checkout. If payment was only authorized (reserved) and the order was not shipped, we will void the authorization; otherwise, we refund the captured amount.
- Your bank or provider may require additional time after we issue the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund approval and you have not received it, please contact us at contact@matchaas.com.
Subscriptions & Refunds
- Subscription orders (e.g., “Subscribe & Save”) are charged per shipment. Cancelling a subscription stops future shipments only and does not retroactively refund delivered orders.
- If a subscription delivery is damaged or incorrect, the same rules above apply (contact us within 48 hours with a photo; we will replace or refund the affected shipment).
